1. They love the Hills because it’s a great place to raise a family
People are really proud to live in the Hills and belong to the community. It’s full of friendly, down-to-earth people who are always willing to help those in need; it’s relatively safe with lots of excellent schools; offers great public spaces and green areas; has a vibrant café and restaurant scene, and an increasing number of pubs and bars. It’s a little bit ‘big city’ mixed with a slice of suburbia – can you tell we love it?!

2. They know all the best places to take your kids in the Hills
Our favourite place to go this time of year is Fagan Park – it’s stunning and is a lovely and inexpensive way to spend a sunny day where the kids can be outdoors. There are so many great cafes in the Hills now too, that we’re spoilt for choice.

3. They are the driving force behind one of the biggest online communities in the Hills District
Hills District Mums is an online community where you can go to connect and network, meet new people, find out what’s on, chat about issues, and have a laugh. The Hills District Mums Facebook group is comprised by nearly 15,000 mums and is growing every day! We have a website with stacks of great content relevant to mums in the Hills, an Instagram feed, and a fortnightly eNewsletter! It really is a one stop shop to knowing everything that’s going on in the area for mums and families – so make sure you head to our website and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date.

4. They think that Momento play a big part in the Hills community
Momento seem to understand that mums are usually the ones who decide where the family is going and when, and so they are great at engaging with our community. They feel strongly about the community we live in, and this is a great fit with Hills District Mums – their values and ethos are aligned with ours.

5. Their fave Momento venue without the kids is Bella Vista Hotel, and The Australian Hotel & Brewery with the kids
We really love the Bella Vista Hotel – the ladies nights on Wednesdays are fun, and it’s great for a drink. We’ve also done events there and the staff are fabulous to work with! The Australian Hotel & Brewery is a really family friendly Hills venue that understands kids – this is very important when you’re wanting to go out as a family. It’s a fact that children are not always perfectly behaved, particularly when mum and dad are trying to enjoy a meal!
