About Momento
Momento Hospitality
Momento Hospitality, the recipient of numerous hospitality awards, is a leading hospitality provider whose reach expands across Sydney’s burgeoning Northwest for over 40 years. Their success is due to strong dedication to the offering and service they provide to their locals, which now boasts strong relationships and a rich heritage, with the region.
Momento Foundation
One of the core values at Momento Hospitality is Caring for the Community and giving back in any way they can. The Momento Foundation, Momento’s charity organisation has donated a transitional house to Women’s Community Shelters for women and children escaping domestic violence. It is also partnering with Macquarie University to help fund a research project regarding the binge drinking culture in Australia and regularly donates funds to NSW Policy Legacy, Smith Family, Ronald McDonald House Charities and The Lisa Harnum Foundation.
The Early Years
Humble Beginnings
The Colosimo’s first embarked on their hospitality journey in 1976, opening a bottle shop in Baulkham Hills. Their philosophy was to “treat customers the way you want to be treated”.
The Expansion
In 1982, they embarked on new terrain. By building and opening the Castle Hill Tavern, their business developed a new element of community focus. Their desire to “give back” and “create environments that can be enjoyed by the whole family” has been at the forefront of their enterprise ever since. Retro Club, Adam’s Tavern and the now famous, Hillside Hotel, soon followed.
A New Millenium
Perfection of Beer
At the turn of the millennium, the Colosimo venture garnered a new dimension – creating the perfect beer. They purchased Potters Brewery and launched the Hunter Beer Company in 2002. Since then, they have moved their operation to The Australian Hotel & Brewery. In 2018 the family sold the hotel to the Redcape Hotel Group. Much like the hotel itself, their brew continues to be awarded for its excellence and has a myriad of accolades to assure its quality.
Bella Vista Hotel
In 2012, the family acquired the Bella Vista Hotel, injecting new life into the North West’s hospitality sector. The venue has since been rated as one of Sydney’s top 10 pubs, and also offers the biggest and best sporting events live and loud in AllStars Sports bar featuring over 97 flat screen TV’s.
Establishing the Hospitality Institute of NSW
In 2017, they established a registered training organisation, The Hospitality Institute of NSW. As the first hospitality tertiary education facility in the Northwest, it has a focus on premier hospitality training and education and assures candidates have a strong theoretical and practical background to make their hospitality dreams a reality.
The Governor Hotel
In July 2018, The Governor Hotel opened its doors in Macquarie Park, a sleekly designed venue incorporating a bistro, a garden terrace, and a rooftop bar. The addition of Jinja on level one, an opulent Cantonese Restaurant with a luxe open-plan dining room, private rooms, a ceremonial tea dispensary, and plenty of dim sum. With new exciting venues coming, Momento continues to spread their message throughout greater Sydney area and help guests make fleeting moments into lasting memories.
