Keeping the community at the core

The Momento Foundation, a Colosimo family initiative, is an organisation focused on supporting the young, the underprivileged and those in need across the North West.

Since its inception — which coincided with the time the family entered the world of hospitality — The Momento Foundation has actively worked across many facets of the local community in a bid to give back and enrich the lives of those in need.

To date, The Momento Foundation has engaged in over 30 community initiatives which range from donating to shelters and rehabilitation centres, actively establishing educational facilities, and sponsoring aspiring local sporting greats — such as the Hills Hornets, Norwest Football Club, Kellyville United Football Club and Glenhaven Netball Club

“Keeping young kids active keeps them healthy and on the right track,” Marcello Colosimo, CEO of Momento Hospitality Group, said.

To aspire youths, The Momento Foundation also engages in sponsoring the Youth Excellence Awards, and public speaking competitions.

“Children are our future,” Marcello says. “We need to give each and every one of them a fair start.”

The Momento Foundation assists underprivileged families, and donates to other organisations — such as the Lisa Harnum Foundation, The Sanctuary and ONE80TC — in a bid to eradicate domestic violence and substance abuse.

It also sponsors local and national charities (RedKite, Cancer Council, and Variety the Children’s Charity, Police Legacy), to do what they can for those battling cancer, children facing life-threatening illnesses, families of police officers who have perished in the line of duty.

We hope that by actively giving back, we always maintain our position at the very heart of what inspires our hospitality ventures – the community.
