Head Chef Evan Tedja’s interest in hospitality began at a very young age.
As a child, you would always find him in the kitchen helping his Grandma cook.
Evan’s passion for preparing tasty meals is the inspiration behind our popular pub classic menu selections at The Hillside or “The Hilly” as it’s affectionately known as by the locals.

- Describe your culinary journey and how you got started
After learning all I could from my Grandma, I started helping out a friend in a restaurant and was continually travelling which allowed to me explore other cultures. I studied at one of the best culinary schools, Le Cordon Blue, and then worked in a number of hotels, Pubs, and Restaurants. Preparing tasty meals has always been my passion.

It’s such a friendly venue to work in. My colleagues are great to work with and fun to be around. It’s a great work life balance.
