Meet Philip Kelly
1. He is a Hills convert
I moved to the Hills from New Zealand 14 years ago, and I have lived in Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, and currently in Kellyville. I moved to Australia for greater opportunities, and specifically to the Hills as I have friends here. I would certainly have not believed back then that I’d still be here all these years later, but I’m so glad I am!
2. He loves the sense of pride in the Hills community
Over the time I have lived in the Hills I have noticed a growing sense of pride in the community and everyone seems continuously more comfortable in expressing that. I’ve especially noticed a big increase in community events being hosted at the many parks within the Hills. The reputation for high quality education and a great family environment has always been a cornerstone of the Hills, and the new shops, cafes and restaurants have really added to the flavour.
3. He thinks the Hills is Sydney’s best kept secret
The rail line has been well overdue, and will bring with it real change with greater density and improved amenities. The only thing that worries me about this is that the Hills was always Sydney’s best kept secret, and now everyone is finding out about it!
4. Real estate is in his blood
I had always been interested in real estate, and on my first day in Australia I met the Hills leading real estate agent. Two years later, an opportunity presented itself at Ray White Castle Hill through this connection and I jumped at it! I absolutely love it, and couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else.
5. He is a long-term Hillside Hotel local
I do enjoy visiting the Bella Vista Hotel for lunch, however, I am without a doubt more of a Hillside local. I have been going to the Hillside for years now, and I’ve always appreciated the way the staff treat me. Being genuine and friendly is a cornerstone of hospitality, and that is clearly something that Momento focus on.
