Our Fire & Brimstone team recently provided some food for the families and staff in intensive care at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead
On 23rd December, our Fire & Brimstone team joined the Ward Angels team to provide some catering for the families and staff in intensive care at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Below is an email we received from Ward Angels.
"I cannot thank you enough for what you and the Momento team did for the families and staff in intensive care.
After the event we went around to both NICU and PICU to hand out gift bags to each family. We had so many parents and staff come up to us with so much praise and appreciation for what we did. More than we could have ever anticipated. Some parents were in tears.
When you go inside the intensive care units, everything is dark and closed for patients to rest. It’s a very difficult space to be in, surrounded by severe trauma and illness around every corner. When the staff and parents stepped outside onto the courtyard, into the inviting space we created, everyone felt as though someone cared about them. The chance to fill their bellies, even though some were at the point of breaking and didn’t feel like eating, was enough to give them a bit of physical strength to deal with what will come next for them.
Kira, I cannot thank you enough for your incredible help. I absolutely loved being around your energy. You are a beautiful person inside and out.
Again, thank you so much for everything. I don’t think I can ever thank you, Brad, Nicole and Momento enough.
Merry Christmas to you all"
